The Venture Capital and Private Equity (VCPE) Club is a student-led organization at the University of Alberta dedicated to connecting with the private market ecosystem. We serve as an on-campus hub for students passionate about finance, innovation, and corporate valuation. Our focus centers on bringing real-world transaction perspectives directly into the student experience through our flagship competitions, industry nights, and collaborative events. We pride ourselves on our unique ability to connect the spaces within private market finance and the students of the Alberta School of Business, in which we foster a community of passionate and talented students ready to build careers within the private markets.
Our Purpose
The purpose of the VCPE Club is to democratize access to the private markets by demystifying venture capital and private equity for students. We exist to open doors to an otherwise exclusive industry, creating clear pathways for students to explore private finance, valuation, and startup ecosystems. By hosting high-impact events and facilitating direct industry engagement, we cultivate a sharp, forward-thinking community prepared to navigate the future of private capital.
